This project provided a new transportation center for the City of Fitchburg and neighboring communities. This $3 million building houses a 2-story atrium, ticket area, café, waiting taxi stand, newsstand and public restrooms adjacent to the MBTA commuter rail line. The central concourse serves as a berthing area for the MART bus fleet. The entire building is handicapped accessible and became a much needed focal point for that area of the city.
